Ariana DenniAssistant Teacher, Infant/Toddler

Ariana has been working with infants, toddlers, and young children for
over five years and comes to MCCS with a wide range of experience! After graduating from UC Davis with a B.A. in English and a minor in Education, Ariana moved to Toyama, Japan, to teach English and connect with her family there. While
teaching, she found that she enjoyed working with the younger age groups (ages 2-5) the most. Ariana says her experience abroad taught her how to communicate even without a common language, and that children love to learn and interact with everyone. After two and half years in Japan, Ariana returned to the Bay Area to continue her work in Early Childhood Development. She spent time as student-teacher at the Chabot College ECD Lab School, where she received her Child Development Teacher Permit and Infant/Toddler Specialist Certification. Ariana is ecstatic to be working in another laboratory school where she can learn even more about how to connect her teaching with research-based practices!
In her free time, you can catch Ariana playing the ukulele, guitar, or the drums, or even on the field in a game of Ultimate Frisbee.
