Jacqui WhitlockAssistant Teacher, Transitional Kindergarten

Jacqui has been teaching Preschool aged children for the past ten years in the Bay Area. She started out in the wild, working with students in an outdoor Preschool, teaching plant identification and all kinds of outdoor skills. After years of muddy shoes and lots of layers, she slowly moved back into the classroom, where she loves teaching art inspired curriculum. A friend of Oakland’s Fairyland, Jacqui has also worked in their fun family programs – you may have seen her reading books for Toddler Story Time, or around Fairyland leading field trips. She is also often backstage, performing as a puppeteer! Jacqui loves telling stories and creating magical worlds full of learning and growth. She spends her spare time illustrating and writing children’s stories, as well as exploring Oakland with her dog, Cielo.
